There are a gazillion great apps in the marketplace to help you run your business more efficiently but it can be a cumbersome process to update the data and manage the apps to experience the true benefits of the application. Zapier promises to help you unlock the hidden power of your apps by eliminating the burden of connecting your apps with your data and automating repetitive tasks.
Zapier connects to over 350 applications, including business critical apps like Quickbooks, MailChimp, github and Zoho CRM. If you need to connect to an app that isn’t already listed or have a custom corporate app, Zapier has a developer platform so you can connect to any application you want to.
Once you sign up for Zapier you can create something called a zap. A zap is an integration between two services. Service A sends it’s data into the zap, and the zap then sends that same data automatically to service B so you don’t have to retype that data. An example of how this might work might be a new client signs up for a recurring subscription on your Paypal account. This data would need to be entered into your Freshbooks accounting service for invoicing. To automate the data transfer from Paypal to Freshbooks, you would create a Zap to add the new customer, the invoice amount, and mark the invoice as paid. If you need inspiration for actions to automate, Zapier has a Zap template gallery.
Zapier offers a free account that allows for 5 Zaps, or connections between two apps every 15 minutes, and 100 Tasks. Tasks are counted each time Zapier moves a piece of data or takes an automated action. The $20 basic account covers 20 Zaps per 15 minutes and 3,000 Tasks. Premium services are $125 per month, with 125 Zaps every 5 minutes and 50,000 Tasks.
Zapier is a great solution for maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of your business applications.
