Managing your email inbox is a necessary but tedious chore. We’ve found a handy email add-in from Sperry Software that automatically files email attachments in a separate folder and replaces them in the email with a URL file link, saving valuable space in your inbox.
Attachment Save has customizable rules that allow you to save email attachments in Windows subfolders based on senders, email subject lines, or specific file names. The add-in runs automatically in the background and can monitor multiple Outlook folders for incoming emails with attachments. Once an attachment is filed, the email still retains the paperclip icon so you can still see at a glance which emails have attachments. If you reply or forward an email with an attachment link, the URL is removed from the email for protection. If you want to put an attachment back in place, Attachment Save has a multi-folder undo feature that reverses all changes and re-attaches the document.
Attachment Save integrates with Microsoft Outlook 2010 and 2013 and is available for $34.95 from Sperry Software.
