With the 3rd generation of the iPhone more and more applications have become available.  The iPhone commercials boast over 85,000 apps. As a new owner of an iPhone myself, I have been searching for all the apps I can possibly find that will make my work day easier while out of the office.

My favorite app to use for work on the go is RDP Lite. Mochasoft has created a RDP Lite version as well as a Full Version. For basic connection to a workstation running Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7 the free version RDP Lite is very functional. This connection is very similar to using Remote Desktop Connection from your current Windows operating system. The iPhone’s zoom capability with multi-touch makes viewing your large desktop on the small iPhone screen more than adequate. Now you truly can work anywhere and anytime with full view and functionality of all your files and programs with just a few touches on your screen. With this improved ability to connect on the go I am able to contact clients, review quotes, review service issues and not fall behind while out of the office.
