Trying to type on the tiny onboard keyboard on your mobile device can really eat into productivity while working away from the Office. In September, Microsoft released a universal keyboard for iOS, Android and Windows and while it helped improve productivity, it was one more sort of clunky thing to carry around. To remedy this, Microsoft will be releasing the Microsoft Universal Foldable Keyboard in July.
The Universal Foldable Keyboard, or for our purposes the UFK, is similar to the original with Bluetooth connectivity to work across multiple devices and has no dedicated Windows key. This new version neatly folds up with magnets to keep it closed and is small enough it can fit in a large pocket. To keep the keyboard small, the UFK has no dedicated function keys along the top but there is a function key for audio controls, search and more. The bluetooth can pair to two devices at once, switching easily between the devices with one touch.
The keyboard charges with a micro USB connector, with a battery life up the three months before needing another charge. Measuring only 5.8 inches by 4.9 inches and only .45 inches thick when folded, this may be the perfect keyboard for users on the go. The UFK will be available in July and will retail for $99.00.
