In today’s busy work environments, most of us are juggling multiple gadgets as we switch between working on our PCs, smartphones or tablets. Desk space is at a premium so it’s rare to find someone willing to sacrifice space to add another keyboard in the pursuit of more efficient work flow.
Logitech’s solution is a multi-OS keyboard that can work with up to three devices at one time, either mobile or desktop. The Bluetooth Multi-Device Keyboard K480 has a dial on the left side that controls the device’s wireless links. It works with Windows, Mac and Chrome computers, as well as Android and iOS mobile devices and has a convenient slot to park your smartphone or tablet for reading as you type. To switch between devices you simply turn the “Easy-Switch” dial to the desired device and start typing. All of the necessary modifier keys are present for any supported OS you’re going to use, so you shouldn’t have any trouble switching back and forth. It even switches the ‘alt’ key between locations to keep Windows and Mac users happy. Available in two colors, and retailing for $49.99, Logitech will begin shipping the K480 later this month.
